This week’s randomness
Tuesday, February 27th, 2007Warning : Today’s entry lacks even more coherence than normaly, just wanted to let you know.
- My provincial minister of health looks like the dude in CSI, really! Now if only politics were as twisted as episodes of that show… although, I think I prefer those crimes scenes to stay in fiction, and on the other side of the continent.
- I finally received my adorable & shiny & wonderful external Lego Hard Drive! It’s the bomb! It’s much smaller than I thought it would be and it works perfectly fine. I can’t wait to connect it to my future mac laptop! It will be so CUTE. Unfortunatly, my perfect laptop bag is still only available in pink and black. When will red be back in stock?
- I voted for the new 7 wonders of the world, have you? Please don’t vote for something stupid like the Eiffel Tower or the Statue of Liberty. It’s supposed to be a wonder not corny. If you’ve seen a lot of ugly refridgerator magnets made out of something you want to vote for, please think about it twice.
- Yesterday’s Sinfest has once again showed just how terribly poignant that comic is (but it can also be so derisive) ! And Sheldon Comics is terribly hilarious, I want a talking duck too :)
- The Oscars : The Danish Poet & Happy Feet won for best animated short & film. I’m so happy caus it was the only ones I had seen :) And also… Kate Winslet was so beautiful in her green dress. Wow. Not that she isn’t always very pretty and classy.
- I went to saturday’s birthday p arty for both Daniel & Alexandre and it was a blast. I actually played DDR. More than once. I don’t think I need to discuss in much details how much alchool units ingested that required. The good answer is fairly simple : too much. On the plus side, still never sick. But on the low side, I was drunk when I got up the next morning. I will never ever ever again drink this much. Please remind me of this whenever you see me next drinking.
- The last week was wonderful, I went at my parent’s chalet with my best friend (she drove, I was the trusty co-pilot) and we made good slow food ( 9 hours long beer stew ), warmed next to the toasty fire each evening and went skiing 2 days at the Mont Blanc. It was really impressive to see just how huge the demographics of people wearing helmets increased in the last years since I went skiing. I was really happy to borrow my dad’s just because it was so much warmer. More security is just an added bonus!
- I got A- in my Theory of Colour : Application in the Visual Arts digital essay! Yay me!
- This blog entry scares me. To think a candidate could encourage terrorism makes me wince at the highest degree. I do think that the oil industry is in the wrong most of the time, but that does not mean putting bombs under their cars is not a very wrong illegal act! Where can that woman come from to even think it, not to mention write it down in a web forum?
- I wore earrings I bought on my own when I was a child. It was the first time I bought something that wasn’t candy. I was 12 I think. They are very cute silver stars and they cost a huge 12$ back then.
